Situated in the urban settings, this 1927 sq. ft. house of Mr. Bharmal is nothing more than a simple and an honest attempt by the interior designers with overall turnkey solutions to bring out the best of the space which resulted in classic example of modernism and minimalism.
The house was originally built up 35 years ago and so to bring a present day look to it, the interior decorators had to make major civil changes and had to stow away the hindrances of the house. In spite of having load bearing walls in the house we were able to fix girders that were actually necessary in a very smart way through our turnkey solutions.
At the entry itself one is struck by the vastness of the foyer, which gives an indication of the spaces to come as the previous house had two foyers and thus were converted into a prodigious foyer area. The material palette for the overall house was simply basic i.e. cement and wood as suggested by the interior designers, though gave a feeling of lucidity. A deft shoe rack was designed to balance the simplicity of the area.
Previously, when setting a foot into the living area, a spiral staircase was seen which is now transfigured into a normal staircase and designed by the interior designers in such a way that it settled in less space and proffered a bigger living area. The house is ornamented delicately with minimal use of furniture and art effects. The living room is effervescent and bright in terms of color coding recommended by the interior decorators. The whole area is cleaved into formal as well as informal seating. The double height of the living room was beautifully emblazoned by the geometrical patterns that were designed by the interior designers. Moreover, to give a bracing look to both of the seating areas, artificial plants were placed as well as natural features of the nature were painted on pieces of “Bali” wood to give a pleasant upshot to the room.
The kitchen is bright, airy, functional and all in an amalgamation of wood as well as pastel colors. The prepossessing color of the quartz stone for the platform adds the pinch of allurement to the whole theme. The window of the space which was earlier in a vertical condition disrupted the placement of the chimney and so it was transmuted into a horizontal one by the interior designers.
The dining area is yet another fascinating space which is smartly converted from three different spaces into one to make it functional for the inhabitants. The area has an elegant earthiness about it with the hues of green and grey adding refreshing tinge to the space. Continuing the same rhythm of geometrical patterns, the interior decorators specially designed a customized hanging light for the area that would illuminate in such a way that the ambience of the space becomes gratifying. The artistic texture on the walls keeps the whole space calm.
The master bedroom adorns a work of classic sophistication through the 45 degree ceiling with a checks pattern on it developed by the interior decorators as well as the mood light which utterly changes the aura of the room. The colors used are predominantly basic, catching up with the overall theme of the house. The major hassle that the interior designers had to face is providing both the wardrobe and the T.V. in the same room. But again efficiently we were able to bring an answer to that by placing a column just on the opposite side of the bed and having the wardrobe behind it. The wooden flooring carpets the whole space blending well with the ambience of the room.
The parent's room is seen adopting an age-appropriate aesthetic through the laser cut design on the shera sheet designed by the interior designers as the centre of attention. Its simplicity and elegance hones the peace and restfulness of the room.
The entire project was handled with an ease fulfilling all the requirements of the client providing all the turnkey solutions. Residence of Mr. Bharmal designed by PSD Interior Designer is one of the most beautiful interior designing home in Sama area of Vadodara.
